The last stretch

The last stretch of working days are just ahead, before i enjoy a few days’ leave before ORD. Feeling very sian at the thought of having to go back to camp for so many more days, and at a stretch (since i’ve kinda gotten used to the clear leave lifestyle. lol), but seeing THE date draws nearer, i guess it’s still bearable. =D hmm, maybe tmr i can get to meet my understudy (no idea his medic course ended liao not), and start to teach him a thing or two so that he can be of some help to David before he actually “dies” when he comes back from taiwan. hah.

havent been blogging for some time now. been doing this and that. lolx. working on my new video, but in actuality i havent started much. lol. anyone who has ideas can feel free to contribute, they are really welcome =) need ideas and lots of effort in order to improve yet again (for a lazy person like me the latter is actually quite hard. rofl.)

Live Action Craze?

Seriously, there have been quite a number of live-action tv/movies made that are from manga/anime in the recent years. Let’s see what i know (yes, it does not represent all the live-action movies made, I DO NOT KNOW EVERYTHING.)

In no chronological order:
- Saikano (jap production)
- Nana (jap production)
- Initial D (hk? tw? production)
- Kurosagi (manga to jdorama)
- Detective Conan (jdorama Special)
- Death Note movies 1 & 2 (jap production)
- Prince of Tennis (jap production)
- Blood the last vampire (jap production, announced, filming to start soon?)
- Transformers (next july, jap production)
- and many others which i dont recgonise the title o.O

i have watched a few of the titles, and comparing with the anime/manga… really too rushed, story changed (kinda unavoidable). i guess shouldn’t be so ambitious and just leave it to manga and anime…

ps why am i saying all these? sigh, tmr is back to work. damn. and another dude who ORD ask me tmr do what. FECK u know.

(Un)lucky 7

WOOHOO…. GST is gonna increase to 7%!!! so much for my fav number. YAY. i know that even increase to 7% liao, sg will still have one of the lowest (iirc) in the world. but yea, people will CONFIRM bitch about it. haha. they’ll start comparing other countries no COE we have blah blah blah… the list can really go very long. shant bother to compare. after all, sure (like 99.999%) increase one what.

let’s just observe how much talk on this will be going on for the days to come…. and again once next year’s budget speech is given in feb 07. heh… oh by the way, if you havent realised, there’s a link in the first line that u can click to see the CNA news article online. just a very short write-up.

Eventful (or not) Saturday

Went out today to settle some stuff. First up was going to settle my Singnet thingie. (For those who dont know what’s going on, dont ask, cos I’m rather pissed at the sales hotline service. Urgh.) The first suay thing was that it started raining heavily while on the bus and I didn’t bring an umbrella! *sigh*. Then went on to “settle” the Singnet stuff, which in fact isn’t really settled yet. Shall see on Monday how it’ll progress >.<

Next up, was collecting of my mom’s popular book, the one that members get quarterly. Since it’s the year-end issue, i thought there’s gonna be some decent deals of some kind, in the end nothing really caught my eye after flipping pages after pages of advertisements/articles (i guess that’s how the book got so thick and can afford to print one quarterly) irrevelant to prodcuts in the bookstore.

What’s next? A hair cut. U must be wondering why today I’m taking note of all these so-called “small” events. I have no idea either, but I do know that this would be the last time i cut my hair before I ORD. hehe. Shows that THE date is drawing near, near enough to have my last haircut during NS. =) (yes seriously i think i’m going a little overboard in my counting down to ORD).

Picked up ff5 advance today. Doesn’t seem to be very interesting but I shall see how things go. Will this be my 3rd completed FF game? (first was ffta then ff1a) Yes, i didn’t complete ff8 cos i stopped at disc 3, finding it a little too unchallenging (thanks to some people giving me all the tips and stuff which really took away any kicks. lol.).

I have also decided on the title of my 9th video. It shall be titled “The Transition”. XX already knows why I named it so. haha. so for the benefit of those who dont (not like anyone really cares right?) i shall just explain why here. Firstly, it’ll be a transition from my previous video standards to true 60fps video, thanks to someone teaching me a really cool technique to do so. Secondly, the transition of Player 2 in KOF being able to switch positions from cornering a person to the one being cornered, which results in some “variations” and crazy combos (as you might have seen in some of the videos i’ve posted in earlier entries. if not, u wont understand what the heck i’m talking about, which i perfectly understand why.). XX may work on a picture for me to put into my video (thanks to him if he really does that! ) as to the actual editing of it, hic, i shall see… haha…

oh for those who are actually members of ComboVideos pls go watch “Break the Universe”. really amazing stuff…

that’s all for my eventful saturday. not really eventful by many ppl’s standards though. haha.

3³ days left =)

that’s right, less than 4 full weeks till i ORD. i think i’m siao, keep on counting down 1 by 1 even though still got quite a bit to count -_- i guess the fact that a huge bunch of my friends ORD-ed has some kind of impact on me. >.<

another week has passed, and it’s time to enjoy some leave again. though the dreaded end nov period is coming =( 7 working days (hopefully 6.5) from 21-30 nov… T_T meanwhile, i’m still “brainstorming” on how to produce my 9th volume (decided to count my bday video as 8th. whatever.) if anyone got ideas can feel free to drop me a note/msg (though i think it’s highly unlikely anyway.)

i have no idea what to write anymore. some kind of bad “habit” of mine. urgh. will write again when i think of stuff.

FFI DONE!!! =)

yay dental and medical FFI done! all signatures obtained for clearance form except for those that i can only get on 7 Dec itself. YAY!!! and exactly 1 month to ORD. WOWEEEE!!!! so happy. okok… sorry to those ORDing later than me…

Recent Happenings

Acquired Guild Wars: Factions over the weekend. Started a new Assassin, and now reach level 14 liao -.- Really force u to level. Never levelled so fast in a MMORPG before. lol… First time trying melee. Tough for me, as i definitely can’t handle a mob that’s bigger than 3 at the moment if i am solo-ing (ie no hench). Hopefully i can improve fast enough to handle future quests/missions. =D Do let me know if any of you happen to own Guild Wars Prophecies (1st chap)/Factions (2nd chap) then we can play together

Just did a re-organisation of my cupboard, cleared out some trash, tidied some things and i managed to free up some space. =) means next time can put more things. haha. I dont know what came over me today that i decided to clean my room + pack my stuffz. Even my mom was surprised. lol. But i guess i wont be re-org-ing my cupboard any time soon… So i will just let it become more and more untidy as time goes by until i decide to re-org it again. =X

Phase 3 is ending soon, but at least tmr will spend a considerable time doing dental + medical ffi. hopefully i can add 2 more signatures to my ord forms =) after those 2 i’ll just need to get 3 more signatures before the day i ORD, less those that can only be signed on 7 Dec. =) Though i am happy that i’m ORDing soon, quite a few of my friends who belong to the first batch of 22mth NS have already ORDed. Even though some of them havent collected their IC back (due to certain issues here and there.), at least they revert back to a civilian status… while i still have 1 month 1 day to go.

p.s. I am searching for a suitable song to be the BGM of my next project…. Hope i find one soon so that i can start work on it slowly =)

Skill99 has a new CMV!! YAY!! more crazy stuff. makes kof super messy with some of the crazy setups shown in the video. i swear i’ll probably never be able to perform any of those shown in the video… it’s just too crazy… bet most of you out there wont even understand what is happening.  lol.
