The week has passed, with both my ops and medic duties finished over the last 3 days. No more duties for the rest of the month! YEAH (though doing 2 duties in 3 days is URGH). Volcano hasn’t erupted, RT as usual nothing bad happened =) it’s all good =)
Yesterday, all my troubles seem so far away.
Ignore the above crap. Yesterday, some Prev Med guys got together and celebrated Stan’s birthday (which is actually today, the 7th). Anthony invited more people, but in the end only 8 (including Stan) turned up. For a complete list of who turned up for the dinner, refer to the group pic below (almost felt like typing Annex A. damn too much OH reports. -_-) Since the more decent restaurants in PS were all crowded, the gang decided to go Fish&Co. End up also had to wait -_- And the pic below is taken while waiting, using Stan’s phone, resize using MSpaint by me.
After a short (maybe not that short) wait, there’s finally enough seats for 8 of us to dine in. First time being there, I didn’t know what to order just follow what Stan-Desmond ordered and shared with Jeff. Ate half of [fish&chips + seafood platter for 2] and *helped* Desmond eat some cos Stan was full (tsk). While waiting for the food to come, Richie presented Stan with his birthday gift. Stan looked really happy to have received a bday gift. That’s great, cos I seldom give birthday gifts *before* I went into Prev Med. Guess influenced by certain people in office. haha. Good gesture, bad for the wallet (pocket/wherever-u-store-ur-$$$), but overall I guess it’s worth it =) More presents to buy in the months ahead (wah sian headache liao =P)
Dinner went by with us eating (duh!!!) and talking (serious & nonsensical stuff). I’m starting to like such gatherings. Overall, I must say the food’s pretty good, the environment’s nice too, but then again, maybe it’s cos it’s the first time I’m there. Richie, as usual was picking on the place and food etc etc etc (he and his “diva” practices =D). I guess the highlight of the dinner was none other than the black-out. And yea, Richie did complain that he can’t see clearly when most of us carried on eating without little difficulty (oh really?)
After dinner, went to PS arcade to chill a while, since some of them were waiting for time to pass to go (club?/pub?) and meet weebeng (not sure if got anyone else). Richie went to play PZ (have no idea why puzzle fighter shortform = pz. oh wells) and i must say he’s better in the arcade than on the comp even though he has much less training with the joystick. Maybe cos he paid for it, or maybe cos there are strangers (some pros even!) watching his gameplay that made his skill level “increase”. Anthony met some of his friends in the arcade (yea, sg is a small world) and played Word Dojo on those touch-screen machines. i did interrupt every now and then, occasionally with longer words that seem to stun Anthony at times. My first time playing and imo i think i not bad already. If only I’m talented in other areas other than playing games. LOL… After that i went home while some of them continued to go drink and have more fun celebrating Stan’s bday.
Ok, back to the boring topic of elections. It has finally ended. Finally I have something MORE other than elections on ch8 news. ok shall stop the elections thingy here before richie starts nagging to me in office again. ._.
Now, if you’re wondering where are the pics i promised u earlier, here they are.
Below are pics related to Stan’s birthday (as mentioned earlier). Stan, sorry for stealing the t-shirt pic without your permission. Don’t hate me =D
