another series related to the .hack// series has begun a few weeks back. for those who dont know, it’s about this online game named “The World” that people play, and things that happen in there. watching the anime, i suddenly felt that there’s really lack of a friendly environment in the gaming world (of mmorpg) that seem to be in the show. no doubt PK and bad stuff does happen, the overall community seems so friendly, and it’s one of the reasons that the game is popular. it allows people to “escape” from reality once they’re plugged in (probably thru VR if it’s the same as previous series).
which brings me to the point of our real world being unfriendliness/backstabbing/full of politics/whatever-u-wanna-call-it. why can’t people just get along with each other, or at the very least be tolerant, or at most tell the other party off nicely instead of being blunt and using crude terms. it’ll make a better place for everyone and make their lives more enjoyable in the days to come. oh wells, shan’t talk about office any more. just wanna ord. 224 days left! actually less than that. =)
ok, if u’re reading this after all that nonsense, i must say u have great determination. (if u skipped any part of the above 2 paragraphs u’re not included in that category). leicester’s going off in a few hours to the airport, check in, then flying off to crescendo for SIX months. by the time he comes back, i’ll be clearing leave liao (well, almost). so i am looking forward to his return (so bad of me). but having his company is good lah, the way he laughs is sometimes just funny to me. kinda contagious, makes me wanna laugh too! hope his time spent in thailand will be fruitful in his training (fitness, weight loss or whatever it might be).

…Stanley and Justin ORD. Man, another 2 people in office just ORD-ed today. The look on their faces is something that I’ve never since before in their pre-ORD days. Doesn’t even come close. Full of radiance the whole day, even though the forgetful Stanley actually came to camp in the morning without his camp pass!!! Hahahaha, luckily his place isn’t that far from office. LOL.
With Stanley gone officially, now I’m officially the most senior NSF man (no u can’t include Mash, he’s an SO) in Occ Health, but in terms of abilities/capabilities I still have much to learn to catch up to Stanley (and Jeffrey). Finished the first submitted draft of 4SIR report. The first report without any help from Stanley, other than the report “template” from old cases. =D But David and Nicky (finetune stuff only =P) did help me too. Heh.
3 more weekdays to a long weekend ahead (Labour day falls on next Monday for those who STILL don’t know). Hope time flies by soon! =D
227 days to ORD. T_T But it’s okay! about 145 work days left, including PH/leave. excluding offs. Patience… patience… patience….
I realised I havent been watching what I say these days. As a result, I think I’ve hurt many people’s feelings. Hopefully they don’t take it to heart too badly. I promise I will change…
Mondays suck. Not the next one though.

A recap of the more major events that happened the past few days:
Sunday - Didn’t accomplish much today. Which means I wasted another precious weekend, but it also means it’s another week closer to ORD. But it’s still faraway lah. =( But congrats to Stan who’s gonna ord in 2 days! ok less than 48hrs before he gets back his pink IC. Speaking of which, Stanley can change part of 恋爱-ing lyrics to 超感谢你 把我放了 真的O-R-D。。。
Saturday - Had another gathering/eating session with Leicester and office guys again =) Unlike previous sessions, this time was at Ben’s house. I didn’t imagine his house to be that big, though it ain’t exactly the biggest one I’ve been to. Ben’s room is more or less simliar to mine (in terms of mess etc) except that his room is twice as big, including the bed -_- Okok, but to main topic. So this time, it was BBQ with Leicester and gang (what else were u expecting? 10 course meal??) But guess what? Ben has this cool gadget that can BBQ using a stove! NO CHARCOAL! so cool! lol. Okay lah, I know there are such things around for a long time, but it’s the first time I had bbq using such a device. There was lots of meat, which made most of us full really quickly (yeah, even THE Richie was full pretty fast. =D) Unlike Stanley and Richie, I dont have a camera phone (will get one when i ORD) so I couldn’t take any candid shots of others eating/playing/cooking. Besides busy eating, we also indulged ourselves in playing ps2/watching Futurama on Ben’s Apple notebook. Though I wasn’t exactly very good at PS2 games, I still had a great time pressing random buttons/combinations. It was so enjoyable that i didn’t realise it was 10pm+ when we decided to leave. I guess it’s been some time I had so much fun in anyone’s house =D
Friday - OPS day. Sucks totally I tell ya. Whole day in OPS room, with who else but WO Wong. Spent the whole morning/afternoon doing up this board and wall full info/pics on Mt Merapi and its possible eruption in the near future (a week or two). It seriously felt like a weekends ops but I can’t compare since I’ve near done weekend ops (so far). I guess SAF really get such info fast, cos i only saw news about it on the 6.30pm CH8 news today. Or maybe Mediacorp is slow -_- Luckily, the night passed peacefully without any activation. Good luck to the duty personnel in the days to come.
Thursday - David on overseas. Dont really like the feeling of being alone. LOL. Ok la, must get used to it (actually half used to it liao). Lousy lunch, western food some more. Sigh.
am still constructing the design for this blog. works are under way. consider this more than half done (i hope)
